Welcome Letter
Dear Parents -

My name is Nina Carver-Hardiewich and it with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new principal of Jack Harvey Elementary. I enter this position with 33 years of experience in the field of education, including the past six years as an elementary principal in Utica Community Schools. I now look forward to working with the Jack Harvey community of learners to continue the fine tradition of educational excellence.

As a lifelong learner, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Wayne State University (WSU). I continue to take courses at WSU, currently in Special Education. Learning is my passion and my hobby.

Offering the highest quality education to your children in a safe and respectful environment is my primary goal. I recognize that this cannot be accomplished without the help and support of all of our school families and the community at large. I look forward to serving the students and families of Jack Harvey Elementary and working together in this effort. I eagerly anticipate meeting you and your children. I look forward to building strong partnerships to enhance the educational opportunities and the academic achievement of our students.

I believe in an open door policy and welcome you to stop by and introduce yourself on or after August 11.

I am confident we are going to have a fabulous school year as we learn and grow together to help every child succeed. I will be communicating additional information in the coming weeks regarding the next school year and opportunities to get together! In the meantime, I wish you and your family a safe and happy summer.

Go Eagles!

Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Nina Carver-Hardiewich
Principal, Jack Harvey Elementary
